Aina Haina & Nui Valley
ʻĀina Haina! It’s this charming unincorporated town in Honolulu on the gorgeous island of Oʻahu. Just east of Waikīkī and Diamond Head, this neighborhood is a hidden gem along Kalanianaole Highway. The place got its name from Robert Hind, the local dairyman who owned Hind-Clarke Dairy – pretty cool, right? In Hawaiian, ʻĀina Haina means “Hind’s Land.” You’ll even find a main street called Hind Drive in his honor.
ʻĀina Haina is perfect if you love that coastal vibe. Picture yourself in a community right on the ocean, bay, or inlet, with all the fun waterfront activities and amenities. It’s not just about the beach; ʻĀina Haina has this amazing nautical feel – it’s historic, walkable, and densely populated, all while being right by the water. The views here are to die for, with both seaside and mountain scenery that will leave you in awe.
There are two elementary schools, Aina Haina Elementary and Holy Nativity School, plus a handy shopping center for all your needs. This neighborhood is ideal for anyone who enjoys a fresh, vibrant atmosphere with the soothing sights and sounds of the ocean. Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it? 🌊🏡🌴

“Jack’s Restaurant in Aina Haina is the kind of local establishment that you just kind of have to know about to find it. Tucked into a strip mall in East Honolulu, the humble and beloved diner is not exactly a visitor hotspot.”
